*Paris*

Paris

3/17/10

Today is day 1 of our spring break vacation! We left the house right after our health class this morning, so about 10:30am, and took the bus into Edinburgh. From there, we got a train to Glasgow central station and then switched trains to Prestwick to get on ryan air and fly to Paris! The flight wasn’t too bad at all really. We made pretty good time, but when we landed the bus was the only way to get into town and it was like 14 euro. It took us about an hour and half to get into town, and then we had to take the metro to our hostel. We found our way ok, and for this being the first time actually traveling and flying on our own we faired pretty well. Our room was a small 2 bed with a shower and sink in it. It was nice that we had the room to ourselves though. After settling in Megan and I went to get some groceries and hitting the hay early tonight!

3/18/10

We woke up around 8:30 (7:30 Scotland time) and went down for breakfast. They actually had a really decent breakfast too! They had real croissants, rolls, and a good selection of cereal. I wanted to really fill myself up at breakfast since it was free and so I could last a little longer before I needed to eat again. I met an Aussie guy this morning at the breakfast. He saw Griffith on the back of my shirt and apparently he has the same last name too, except he has an s at the end, but it was still cool. He was very nice, and we chatted for a bit. He’s been staying here a while already and in a few weeks he is off to tour more of Europe!

I did really well today with my budget and am keeping on track nicely for that. I also used some French as well, very limited French I might add, but hey it’s better than nothing! Megan and I first went to Notre Dame and wow! It was amazing! We took a few pics of the outside when we first got there and then this lady came up to me asking if I spoke English. Confused, I said yeah and then she proceeded to give me this postcard that was supposed to have been written in English, but it might as well have been another language, cuz I couldn’t understand hardly any of it. The lady kept pointing to the card and at first I thought she wanted me to translate so I handed it back to her saying I can’t. But then it finally hit me she was asking for money; she was a gypsy. So I gave the card back and said no and just kept walking. Then Megan got hungry so we sat down while she got out her sandwich and started eating it. Then some gypsy lady came up and started asking for food. These gypsies were all over the place! Megan was real good at sticking to her guns and kept telling her no. So after a while the gypsy left and then less then 5 min. later was back again still asking for more food. So Megan after saying no again, asked her if she had a job! And the gypsy said no, so Megan continued to say no until the gypsy eventually gave up and walked away pouting and saying “oh! Your bad! Your so bad!” I know I shouldn’t have laughed but, she reminded me so much of a little kid it was pretty funny. Megan was not very happy either, cuz all she wanted to do was just sit down and eat her sandwich.

So after our gypsy encounters we walked around the inside of Notre Dame and it was the coolest thing! I kept singing The Hunchback of Notre Dame songs in my head and I really really wanted to watch the movie super bad! I still want to watch it!

Anywho, after that we walked along the river, sat in the sun for a while and daydreamed about the beaches in Spain, and enjoyed the feeling of not being on a timed schedule. We walked on to the Jardin Des Tuileries, and the Obelisque, and then on to the Arc de Triomphe where we saw the whole front end of a car being hosed down. It had been on fire and there was sooooo much smoke! It stunk really bad. I think the person was ok though. After that we walked to the Eiffel Tower! We are going to climb it at night instead of during the day, so we just took a few pics outside of it. Then we hit Ecole Militare, Hotel Des Invalides and then we power walked/ran back to Notre Dame so we could make it to the 6:15 mass. That’s right Dad….your little girl went to church all on her own! It was exactly the same as our mass back home except that it was all in French so we didn’t understand a word of it, but other than that it was exactly the same. After that we hopped on the metro back to our hostel and I ate some supper and then Megan and I talked for a bit before heading to bed.

3/20/10

So yesterday we got up for breakfast around 9. This guy from America and his friend from Ireland ended up sitting next to us and they were really cool. He was a grad student studying abroad in Dublin for a full year and he says he absolutely loves it! He also said it was a lot cheaper than in the states too. The Irish girl and I talked for a bit about Ireland and when I asked her about the West side she said that it was the best part of Ireland! Yes! Totally called that one. Anyways, they were a lot of fun and I wish we could have hung out with them more. After we said goodbye and finished our breakfast, Megan and I went back to our room to change, pack, and check our e-mail. Right before we left around noon someone came in to clean our room. We didn’t know that they did that in hostels and it made us a little wary because we thought it we were the only ones who came in the room. Last night I had also noticed 10 pounds was missing but I figured I had just lost it. We looked all over the room and searched my stuff but it wasn’t there. I had about 100 euros in cash and I usually only brought 10 or 20 with me cuz I was trying to stick with my budget and not spend too much. Plus it’s cheaper to take out more money so my card doesn’t get charged every time for the exchange fee.

We started off the day with the catacombs! I was really excited to see this, but it was way more creepy than I had thought originally. There were tons and tons of bones! The bones actually made up the walls, and passageways of these underground tunnels. They were so neatly put together and organized, it was super weird to see. These were the actual bones of real live people! I think there were supposed to be like 6 million dead Parisians down there. There were sooo many tunnels too, we didn’t even walk through them all.

After that, we stopped by a little park and treated ourselves to some French crepes! They were pretty good too. Then we wandered aimlessly around town, heading towards the Eiffel tower. Once we got to the tower we got in line to climb it, and it started to sprinkle a wee bit. It cost about 7 euro to get to the top and wow what a view! We could only take stairs to the second level and then from their you have to take an elevator. It was dark by the time we got to the top and personally I think Paris is much more pretty at night. You could see everything! There was even a soccer pitch just below us and you could just make out the players and watch a little of their game. We tried to take lots of pics but both our cameras were dying. So after chilling up top for a while we made it back down and across the river just in time to take more pics and see the Tower light up and sparkle! It was gorgeous! We walked to another viewing spot and saw a couple taking their wedding pics there. The lady’s dress was so beautiful too! Props to her, she’s got good taste. It was super romantic! Those are going to be some awesome wedding pictures. After that, we started walking towards the Arc de Triomphe again, though we must have looked a little lost, cuz this French guy came up to us and asked us if we needed directions. We told him where we wanted to get to and he led us part of the way there telling us this whole big story about when he went to Vegas and California looking for cute women at the beaches but only finding heavier set women and gay guys. Then how he lost like 3,000 euro in 2 hours at the casinos in vegas! He was pretty funny and very friendly. He told us to look him up if we were ever in Paris again. Then we said goodbye and parted ways. We got to the Arc de Triomphe just fine and from there we walked all the way to the Lourve in the rain to take more pictures. By this time we were completely soaked, so we decided what the heck, let’s jump in some puddles! We had to take pictures of this too obviously. I could have filled up a few glasses with all the water in my shoes. Since we were soaking wet and tired we found a metro by Notre Dame so we could look at that one more time and then went back to our hostel.

We showered and changed and I noticed that 20 more euro was missing from my bag, so somebody must have stolen it. We talked to the desk worker and wrote a letter to the manager. The worker said that I would get it back no problem, that they take these things seriously cuz they want to keep a good rep. I haven’t heard anything from them since, and I’ve already sent them a few e-mails. He was probably just telling me that to shut me up. Oh well, lesson learned I guess. We got 4 hours of sleep that night, and left for the metro at 5 am. However, the one we went to didn’t open til 6 so we had to book it to another one and waited for the late metro to arrive. Finally it came and we took it to 2 stops short of where we needed to go to switch to a different one to get there. We met another girl there from Connecticut and she was studying in France. She was also trying to catch the same bus to the Beauvais airport too, and had to catch a flight 15 min. to Rome after ours. We were worried we were going to miss the bus at 6:30 to the airport and the next one didn’t go until 7:30 and it takes an hour and a half to get there. We had 15 min. to make it in time and the metro was ten stops away and running late, so we ran! This was the worst time ever to wear flip flops! So much for sun and relaxation, it was raining and I was hauling my big rolling suitcase along with my big backpack trying to run in freaking flip flops. We just barely made it! I was so worried we would miss it while we were running, cuz it was a lot further away that I had thought it was. We were all sweating when we finally made it on. It was funny though, cuz people saw us leave the metro station with our luggage and they came with too trying to get to the same place. So we had a whole little group of us, all around the same age, running through the streets trying to catch this darn bus.

Well we made it to the airport okay and onto our flight to Barcelona just fine. It was quite the trip and I’m not sure I’m the biggest fan of Paris, but it was a definite learning experience.

hey everybody!
Ok Sorry it's been so long! I just got back from Spring break this morning and my parents also arrived today! We're all very tired, but I wanted to get at least one part of my trip up before I went to bed. So my trip lasted 12 days. I went to Paris, Barcelona, Chiclana, and Seville over break and I kept a journal everyday so I'll be posting most things from there as quick as I can. I'm very excited to have my parents here! I missed them so much! Spring break was definately quite the experience and having my mom and dad come here made my coming back to Scotland so much better! Again, sorry about the delay, but I should have lots more for you to read soon! Hope you are all doing well! I miss and love you!

FIRBUSH!!!

This past weekend I spent up in the Highlands at a lodge called Firbush. This place was AWESOME! I absolutely loved it! It was all log cabin, super comfy and cozy. We left the castle around 5 pm and after we settled into our rooms we got a 3 course meal for dinner! Amazing! The first course was soup and bread, and we all thought that this was the main meal, so we were surpirsed that it was just the appetizer! Then the brought out salad, chips (our fries), ham and keish! It was really good too. For dessert we got this rasberry/blueberry crumble thing with cream.....sooooooo gooood! Then we cleaned the tables and met downstairs for a meeting about our stay here. Dennis, one of the directors, gave us a list of activites that we could choose from. Our options were for friday were high and low level climbing and cross country skiing. After we picked what we wanted to do we went and checked out all the gear we would need. After we all hung out downstairs and mike and Jesse F. ran the bar. It was pretty fun.
Saturday morning we woke up around 8 for breakfast at 8:30. The food here is great! They gave us food to pack for our lunches for that day too. After we had put on our hiking boots and gators and got our gear together we hopped in the vans and were off for the day. I chose to do the high level climbing and I'm so glad I did because we got to climb Ben Lawers, an actual mountain!!! They call them Munro's here, which means mountains that are over 3,000 ft. So I was pretty pumped! We had our rucksacs with our lunches, crampons, water/wind proof pullover suits, and our ice picks! We were ready to go!
We hiked up a ways until we were a little bit above 1,000 ft. It was just before we got into really snowy areas, so Libby and I decided we would rather put our pullovers on now before it the weather got worse. Our suits were all blue, and apparently we looked like smurfs, especially cuz I was wearing my white hat, but at least we were warm! We kept going until we hit the big patches of snow and then we went through some training in case someone slipped and fell down the mountain. It was super fun! Our suits made us slide realy fast, and it was just like going sledding! We first had to slide down without our picks and roll over and stop ourselves by digging our elbows and knees into the snow. Dennis said that sometimes the ice is as hard as wood, and you really can't stop yourself if you slip, even using the ice picks it can be really really hard because the snow is so hard. Luckily for us it was a lot softer. After sliding down a few times we got our ice picks out and Dennis taught us how to hold them and dig them into the snow a certain way to help stop ourselves. We were all having a blast, but we still had a ways to go, so we had to keep climbing.
We stopped at this big rock and sat behind to block the wind while we ate our lunch. The higher we went the more windy it got. Like this was pretty serious wind we were getting into! After we ate our lunch and kept going up higher, people were starting to get knocked over by the wind! It was so strong, and when we were getting up to our highest point it would blow bits of ice and ran so hard! There were times we had to hold our hoods and bend down and just wait for it to pass because you couldn't look up to see anything because you would get pelted in the face. I felt like I was training for Everest! haha There was a point where I realized how intense this was and then I looked at Megan and just started laughing! We were climbing a freaking mountain! I couldn't believe it, it was so exhilerating! What a rush!
We climbed to 400m short of the summit, and Dennis said we had to stop there. The conditions were getting a little too dangerous so this was as far as we were going to go. I was a little bummed, I really wanted to go all the way to the mountains highest point, but we still made it up to cloud level. I remembered when I was on the plane to Scotland and I saw these mountains and they were still brown and snow covered and I wasn't too impressed cuz I wanted to see more green rolling hills, but being there, I don't know how I ever thought that. It was so amazing! I also remembered taking off and what it was like when we were flying right in the clouds. I always liked that, it just seemed cool to be up in the clouds, and here i was again but I was still on land! It was the coolest thing! We tried to take pictures but it was really hard, cuz people would fall over, and we were trying to protect the camera's from the sleet and not let go of them. It was kind of funny, you know you are total tourists when you are on a mountain being blown over, and pelted with ice and you are still trying to take pictures.
We got to slide down half of the way, which was a total blast!!! That is seriously the best way to climb down a mountain! Next Dennis led us to a little cull in between two mountains and he taught us how to check if the snow is safe by carving out a 1x1m block and checking how solid the snow is. Then we went over to another hill of snow and Dennis showed us how to build a shelter if we got stuck there and had to spend the night. We all helped dig the whole and build it, but I also had time to build Herbert, my studly snowman! :) We made some snow angels too! The boys kept trying to kill poor Herbert and they killed Hector, Emily's baby snowman. But they stopped trying to kill Herbert after I made him look super cool. I gave him a face, tie, and top hat out of snow and then they were all sorry they tried to kill him, haha. Herbert turned out to be a super cool snowman. I'm going to really miss him, but he has to man the stand up there.
We visited Dennis's favorite rock, and then started the hike back down. The wind was so much more friendly at this height. The sky got a little bit clearer too, so we had a GREAT view! This was probably one of the highlights of my life so far. I loved every minute of it! It's definately something I would want to do again in the future.
Once we got back we hung our stuff up to dry, ate some nummy cake and hot cocoa that Dennis had put out for us, and then took a nice hot shower! Dinner was tomato soup, parsnips, some meat stuff which was actually really good, potatoes, fruit, and cheese and crackers. Then we got a drink at the bar and got ready for the Celiegh! A Celiegh is like a Scottish gathering where there is dancing and music. We did some traditional dances and it was a lot of fun! After that Dennis played some more recent songs and a little group of us had our own little dance before heading back downstairs to grab a nightcap before bed. We also played some bananagrams, which is a lot like scrabble. It was a nice way to end an amazing day :D

Sunday morning we ate breakfast again at 8:30 and packed ourselves some lunch. Then we went and started suiting up for some kayaking! We put on wet suits, cargouls, and picked out our kayaks and put them in the water. We practiced moving around in their little walled in bay. They also gave us these little skirt things that fit around the hole in the kayak so that we wouldn't drip water into our laps, so that was nice. We started playing tag after everyone made it in the water and it was so much fun! We had 3 people fall in and the water was really cold so I feel for them, but after the instructors got them back in the kayaks and they were moving around again they seemed ok. Dennis then said that statisically nobody should fall in now that three people already did, unless we were a particularly stupid group. So of course just a mere two minutes later two more people fell in! It was hilarious! After we were done playing tag, we paddled out to this little bay area and back. The scenery was breathtaking! It was so cool being out there! It was a good workout too, my shoulders were burning.
When we got back we changed and dryed off, then we ate some lunch and met back downstairs to choose another activity. You could canoe, orienteer, go for a walk, rent some road bikes, chill out, or go mountain biking. I had originally planned to do some mountain biking, but I was pretty tired, but then Emily came and talked me into going. Another workout wasn't going to kill me. I'm really glad I went too, it was really neat. Owen got us all bikes and helmets and then we took off. The first leg of the trip was a slow continuous hill, but I was already dying! The hills were not so much fun. We made it to this cute little cottage, and a we stopped up there cuz it had a nice view of the loch. Then we got to ride downhill (my favorite part!) through a pretty rocky muddy trail and it was a blast! I got totally splattered, but it was super fun. Owen took us to a few different places around the loch, but my favorite was this old ruin. The Campbell's were the major clan in the area so he thinks it might have belonged to them. It was kinda neat, cuz even though the Campbell's were involved in a really bad betrayal and massacre of the McDonald clan, that is my clan that I was assigned to in the house. Anyways, they had a holly tree up on this little hill where they used to hang people, and a pit right in front of the house that they used for beheading. They also had a mosoluem there too, and we climbed around the house a bit too. It was soooo old, but it was so neat, cuz it wasn't rebuilt or anything. This was the actual original and everything! I liked that.
We ate a good supper when we got back and packed up to leave soon after. I ended up sitting in the front next to Dennis and we talked the whole way back home. That was cool too, cuz he had a lot of neat stories about the job and the training he had to go through to get certified. It was pretty intense! I think he has one of the coolest jobs ever though! We had a really good conversation and we joked about me being their secret stowaway. I sooooo didn't want to leave! I still miss so bad and it's only been like two days! This was the first time I've really felt right at home since I've left the states. I'm so going back there someday! Especially since Dennis was telling me about their windsrufing camps they have in the summer! Windsufing!!! Ah! This place was meant for me! This was definately the BEST weekend ever!

Hellooooo London!

Ok sorry this took so long, but I finally got it all done! My first day in London was pretty busy! We left Edinburgh at 10ish Thursday night and took the night bus to London. It was not that much fun, we barely slept. The seats were so uncomfortable! It was about an eight or nine hour trip. Once we got into Victoria station we headed to the tube to get to our hostel. The tube was pretty fun! It’s a very dog eat dog world in London, especially down in the undergrounds. It’s the survival of the fittest. You have to literally push your way on and off the tube to get anywhere. A few times we traveled on it, we got lucky and we could actually sit down, but other we were packed in there like sardines! It was crazy!

Once we got to our hostel, we freshened up a bit and chilled out til our free walking tour. We had a pretty cool tour guide named Pip, and he took us all over central/eastern London. Our first stop was Buckingham Palace where we got to see part of the changing of the guards. It was neat because there was more to the ceremony that day since there was a prince of south Africa I think that was there to meet the queen. They had special flags hung around the palace for this event too. We didn’t get to watch all that much of it cuz I guess the ceremony takes over an hour and we had other places to go. It was a really cool place though. Right next to the Palace is another super big house, it kind of reminded me a little bit of the White house, but this was where Prince Charles lives, and they raise special flags when the royal family are staying here and when the Queen is at the Palace and both of these flags were raised so it was neat to know the royal family was like right there!

After that we got the classic pics taken with guards. One of them looked a little freaky, he had a really good glare going on. I felt kinda bad for them having to put up with silly tourists taking pics with them all day long. We continued along with the tour where we stopped at the national art gallery where they had a pretty sweet looking church right next to it and this really pretty fountains with a bunch of different statues surrounding them along with great big lions at the front of it. Lots of people were climbing on them and it looked like a lot of fun, but we had to keep going, so on we went. We ended the tour around the houses of Parliament which was also right next to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. A lot of really cool buildings all right next to each other! The architecture on Westminster Abbey was gorgeous! Pip said that you can get inside for free when they have their choir practices and I was thinking about going to that, but never actually made it back for it. But next time I get back there, that will be on the to do list.

Once the tour was over, me, Megan, Sara, Jesse, Chris, and Spencer were feeling super hungry and went off to hunt down a China buffet. So we walked up to China town and ended up settling with one after a while of looking. It was a little pricey, and it was the most packed in little place I’ve ever been too. The food was real good but the main thing I didn’t like was that you had to pay extra for any desert and I had really been counting on feeding my sweet tooth when we were looking for this place, so I was a bit disappointed but oh well.

While trying to navigate our way back to the hostel, we ended up getting a little lost, but that’s ok cuz we got to see more of the area. When we finally found it we all got showered and dressed up to go see the Lion King!!!! This was probably my favorite part of the trip. The singing was so good it gave me goose bumps throughout a lot of the show. Little Simba did a really good job, and had such a good voice for a little kid! It was funny too, cuz he had a very British accent. Rafiki was also played by a woman but her voice was incredible! She sang the opening song and a lot of other ones, and they all sounded sooooo amazing! Big Simba was a little bit high pitched for me, but he was still pretty good. What is it with all these European guys being so femmy? Anyways, after the show, we went back and went to the hostel’s pub for a few drinks and some dancing before bed.

Sat.

Today was our free day to do what we wanted to do. So we got up and ate breakfast around 9 and then headed out. First we stopped at platform 9 ¾ and we were a little disappointed that it had been moved cuz of construction but we still got our pictures taken. Then we hiked for an hour or so to Sherlock Holmes’s house on Bakers Street and stopped in the little museum they had. Then we continued on to Abbey road and got our pictures taken crossing the famous crosswalk while nearly being hit by honking cars. It was a very busy area. After that Megan and I found this cute little market street and I bought a new shoulder bag for 5 pounds that I love! Megan bought a little luggage bag for only 9.50 which was a pretty good buy also. We were getting hungry by this time, so we stopped at Tesco and bought some lunch and continued on to Hyde park. We saw some people play football and wanted to watch a little but nature was calling and we were on a desperate search for a bathroom. Bathrooms, by the way are really quite hard to find in Europe! A lot of public ones you have to pay for even, it’s a lot different from the states. Eventually we asked someone to lead us in the right direction and ten minutes later we found it, and this one was even free! We ate our picnic lunch at the Italian Gardens in Hyde Park. It was beautiful and decent when the sun was shining; it didn’t stay out too long after we had started eating so we got a little chilly. We hit up the Peter Pan statue next and took some pictures, met an angry swan, and then headed back to the tube to drop megan’s new luggage at the hostel. After we had done that we booked it back to the tube and rushed to the Tower of Lonon to try and catch the last tour, but we missed it by a couple min. It wasn’t a total loss tho, we walked around it and there was a little boardwalk that led you to Tower Bridge from there. So we walked along there and got some good pictures. We wanted to see it all at night too, so we walked across the bridge and found a little coffee shop on the other side where we had some hot cocoa and warmed up, cuz we were freezing by this point. After we had warmed up we walked back across Tower bridge, took some more pics from there of London Bridge and the Tower of London. We also got more pics of Tower Bridge, the London Eye, and Big Ben.

Once back to the Hostel, we changed and walked to an Irish pub a few blocks away from the hostel with a little group. We met an English guy there and chatted with him a bit. We wanted to find some places to go dancing but they were a fifteen min walk away or so, and it was cold and a lot of us were wearing heels. So we had a drink at the Irish pub and headed back to the hostel’s bar and stayed there for a while.

Sunday

Today we got up at 7 and left about 7:45-8ish to head back to Victoria station and head back to Edinburgh. We waited at the bus stop for about an hour and right as we were about to board the bus they told us we were all at the wrong platform and that the bus we were supposed to take had left a half hour ago. So we waited while Drew talked to some people and got us booked for the next available bus that left at 11:15 that night. The bus company was really nice and let us exchange the tickets for free instead of having us buy new ones, so we got a whole extra day in London! The hostel let us store our luggage there for the day so we headed back there first to change and drop our stuff off. After that Jesse, Spencer, Chris, Megan, and I went back to Tower of London. Only me, Jesse, and Megan went on the tour, the other guys walked around a bit. I don’t know if the tour was really worth the money. It was pretty cool but everything there was renovated and a lot of it wasn’t very much how it used to look. I know it can’t really be completely how it used to be but a lot of it just looked like any other museum from the inside. We did see the crowned jewels though and they were pretty neat. The white tower looked a lot like a museum. We got to see where Queen Ann Boleyn was executed. Oh and St. John’s cathedral was really cool, but we weren’t allowed to take pictures of any of the really cool stuff like that.

After that we met back up with Spencer and Chris to take the tube up to Camden market. We walked around there for a while. It was super crowded! We walked all through the different shops, the guys were trying to talk me into buying this crazy thigh high pink stiletto boots and wear them back to Edinburgh! They seriously were ridiculous! We had fun though and saw a ton of really different looking people. We headed back to the hostel after a while to rest up a bit, we were all exhausted by this point. My feet were hurting like they’ve never hurt before! Every step took effort…ouch! We changed back into our sweats and left after chilling at the hostel for a while, got back on the bus, and left for Edinburgh. We got into Edinburgh around 8ish in the morning. Another sleepless night on the bus, but actually I prolly got a little bit more than I did this time cuz I was so drained…still was not enough tho. Patty had us take taxi’s back to the house and we missed our first class but we were all ok with that J We showered up and some of us got an hour nap or so, but then we had our four hour Scottish globalization class to get through! I think we all slept like rocks when we went to bed that night! So overall London, was crazy, and super busy, but a ton of fun. It was a weekend well spent.

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

hey everybody! Sorry I've been so behind on my blog lately! I know, I should be slapped! I just got back from my weekend in london and I brought a journal with me so I just need to transfer that all onto here. This weekend I will be leaving for an outdoors camp back up in the highlands, and I'm soooo pumped to go! This is totally my type of thing. I can't wait! There's tons of different outdoor activites to do, we get 3 course meals, and lodging for only 50 pounds! Great deal! Last weekend, we had a little day trip over to Glasgow with our Scottish Professor Mr. Mooney. That was pretty fun too. Glasgow is very different from Edinburgh. It's a lot more industrious. On the tour we got to see a really cool art museum that was huge! We also got to see the Celtic stadium! That was really cool! We got to see the actual pitch and even got inside the locker rooms and saw some of the jerseys! It was pretty sweet! The locker rooms aren't as fancy as you would think they would be, but it was still awesome to be in there. It was a really cool tour and I'm super glad we got to go see it. It made me really want to play again tho! I did get to play a wee bit of soccer or "football" the other day and the ground was super soft, so we got pretty muddy but that was ok. It just made it more fun. I had forgot though that my cleat had started ripping on the inside seam so I had a huge whole on the inside of one of my cleats so my foot was soaked! I'll have to find some duck tape. Anywho, I still have a speech to start for my morning class, and as it is already 10:30 I should probably start working on that. So again, I apologize for my laziness, but I will post some pictures and tell you all about my london trip tomorrow. For those of you with facebook, I did get most of my pics up today, I haven't labeled them yet, but I'll finish that up tomorrow as well. Good night everybody! Ta!
